Post-Closing Issues

There is no nice way to say it. You bought a home and something is wrong, or you sold a home and the buyer is alleging something is wrong, either situation is not ideal. Worse, you get told that it will cost you more money for your lawyer to help you with this unexpected situation. We used to tell clients this, but it always left a bad feeling in my gut. Lawyers should be paid for work they do, but if we are truly here to help, hitting you up for more money while you are down just did not feel right.

We no longer charge to help with these post-closing issues. If you are down, we want to try and help you up. We can’t promise we can fix the situation, as these issues are resolved in two ways, either the parties agree or a court decides, but we won’t leave you alone to figure this out. The process can take time, can be frustrating, and can end without a favourable result, so we ask for your patience and understanding, but we will not let you go through it alone.
